Elm Hosts Festive Holiday Sing-a-Long
Posted on December 20, 2024Elm Road students and staff came together for a joyful sing-a-long assembly to celebrate the holiday season. The event featured a selection of classic Christmas and holiday songs that had everyone singing along with cheer.

Adding a fun twist, the students used kazoos to accompany their singing, creating a lively and festive atmosphere. A special highlight of the event was a performance by the Elm Road Jumpers, the school’s jump rope club, who showcased their impressive skills during one of the songs, earning enthusiastic applause from the audience.

The excitement peaked during the performance of “Frosty the Snowman” when Frosty himself (with a little help from a spirited staff member in costume) made a surprise appearance, dancing and spreading holiday magic.
Oh, Frosty the Snowman was alive as he could be And the children say he could laugh and play just the same as you and me Look at Frosty go

Thumpity, thump, thump, thumpity, thump, thump, over the hills and snow. Oh, Frosty the Snowman knew the sun was hot that day. So he said, let's run and we'll have some fun now before I melt away.

Down to the village with a broomstick in his hand Running here and there all around the square Saying, catch me if you can He led them down the streets of town Right to the traffic cop And he only paused a moment when he heard him holler Stop!

Mmm, Frosty the Snowman had to hurry on his way But he waved goodbye saying, don't you cry, I'll be back again someday Thumpity, thump, thump, thumpity, thump, thump Look at Frosty go Thumpity, thump, thump, thumpity, thump, thump Over the hills and snow
This festive tradition brought the Elm Road Elementary community together in the spirit of the season, leaving smiles on every face as they headed off for winter break.
